Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Reparova processes personal data for website visitors, workshop users, and customers who receive a repair-status link.
Controllers and contact
modeleven IT GmbH is the controller for website, account, security, support, and service-administration data. For customer and repair data entered by a workshop, that workshop is generally the controller and modeleven IT GmbH acts as its processor. You can contact us using the operator and privacy contact details below.
Data we process
We process account and authentication data, passkey metadata, workshop and team details, customer contact details, vehicle and repair information, customer-visible notes, photos, messages, approval decisions, secure-link access data, session data, IP addresses, and security logs.
Do not upload special-category data or information that is not necessary for repair communication.
Purposes and legal bases
We process account and workshop-user data to provide the service and perform our contract, comply with legal obligations, and pursue our legitimate interests in securing, supporting, and improving the service. We process workshop customer data on the workshop’s documented instructions.
When a customer voluntarily provides contact details on a repair-status page, their consent covers storing those details and sending transactional updates for that repair. It does not cover advertising. Consent can be withdrawn through the workshop at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Recipients, hosting, and maps
Authorized workshop members and customers with a secure link receive only the information intended for them. Hetzner Online GmbH processes data for application hosting in Germany and Finland within the EEA.
If a workshop has a mapped address, the customer-status page loads map content from the OpenStreetMap Foundation. The customer’s browser sends network data such as the IP address, browser and device information, referring page, and access time directly to OpenStreetMap.
Cookies and local preferences
Reparova uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for sessions, form security, authentication, and user-requested preferences. The locale and appearance preferences are stored for up to one year; the sidebar preference is stored for up to seven days. No advertising or analytics cookies are used.
You can delete these cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent login, forms, security features, or saved preferences from working. Consent will be requested before any non-essential tracking technology is introduced.
Retention
Account and workshop data is deleted within 30 days after the service relationship ends. Repair and customer data, including consent evidence, is retained for up to three years after a repair is closed or consent is withdrawn. Security and access logs are retained for 90 days, transactional email logs for 12 months, and backups follow a 30-day rolling deletion cycle.
Data may be kept longer where required by law, needed for an active dispute or security investigation, or contained in accounting records subject to the statutory seven-year retention period.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, or portability of your data and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent at any time. You may complain to the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, or another competent supervisory authority.
We may need to verify your identity. If a workshop supplied your data, we may refer your request to that workshop as controller. Providing account data is necessary to register for and use Reparova; without it, we cannot provide an account. Customer contact details are optional.
Security and automated decisions
Reparova uses access controls, secure random customer links, authentication safeguards, encrypted transmission, backups, and logging appropriate to the service. Reparova does not use personal data for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
